Therapy Approaches Offered
A Person-Centred Approach is a therapeutic approach that centres on the client's direction, while supported in a safe non-judgmental space.

Strengths-based Counselling is focusing and building upon a client's strengths, supporting them to realise their innate qualities.

Somatic Counselling is a body-centred approach that focuses on body awareness and releasing emotional stress and trauma from the body.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy supports the client to develop awareness, presence, mindfulness and psychological flexibility while learning to accept the difficulties and challenges of life.
Approach to care
Susan's philosophy and approach to counselling is not about giving solution-based answers to life dilemmas but rather a compassionate approach to guide the client to their own inner wisdom, which is always there.
Providing a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space allows the client to come to their own understanding and realisations relatable to their own living environment.

This approach supports a sense of fulfilment and well-being, allowing the client to make true and lasting changes in behaviour through developing understanding, awareness, then expanding into new ways of being that filters through, to all aspects of life, including personal relationships and workplace growth and development.

Benefits of counselling
Counselling is a valuable investment; it allows the opportunity to delve more deeply into life challenges and experiences, recognising underlying patterns of behaviour that correspond with sometimes ongoing and repetitive issues and behaviours.

Self-reflection, awareness and mindfulness are not something we are generally taught in school, yet these are skills that are so important to develop, taking us through the journey of life. Getting to the core of an issue or unravelling patterns from childhood can bring a sense of release and clarity, clearing the way for new and more supportive choices in life.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy offers the opportunity to learn how to emotionally regulate and cope with stressful situations. As a client, you will be supported to be present and aware through challenges rather than avoiding or denying the difficulties that can arise.
Connecting with the depths of yourself is integral to self-care and self-efficacy. Equally, body connection and developing awareness are part of the counselling journey that allows a deepening of self-love which is vital and foundational to self-care. The love and value you develop towards yourself flourishes naturally into every aspect of your life, personally, in relationships, in the workplace and in the community.
